A Sudden Calmness

5 weeks into carrying you, I still cant believe it. You are growing within me, a small bundle of cells now rapidly dividing and growing. I am always worried if you are getting enough nutrition to grow. I have always been a slacker of food. These two or three weeks all of my life has changed so much. All thanks to you. Do you realise that you are loved and adored even before you have taken shape? I might be extending it too much by already thinking this way. But I cant really help it. My whole perception of life has recived a makeover. Where weekends meant boozes and parties, I now look forward to staying home and taking care of you over the weekends. There is some form of calmness that has descended on me now. I no longer keep wanting some or the other form of excitement in life. Is this what you do to every woman?

  1. Now it is the turn of Daddy:-). Your mummy is enjoying loads of attention and care from me:-). I am very happy and excited. By the way our name for you was "Apple Pip" last week, and a "Chweet Tadpole" this week:-).

I "talk" to you everyday. Do you hear anything, you tiny bundle of joy?:-)

We have begun doing things to ensure that you are safe and cosy. We are moving to a home, closer to mummy's office. Tomorrow, Doctor aunty shall tell us how you are doing?

Mummy told me that you are just like me when it comes to food: A glutton:-). Wow! I shall have good company.:-)

Your grandparents are all very excited, but are not showing it with full force yet:-).

Your mummy keeps coming up with all kinds of names for you. I promise you that, I shall not allow you to be tagged with a name, which results in much leg pulling at school/college:-)

Daddy keeps hoping that you get all the "good" from myself and mummy:-). e.g. hope the roots of your hair, are stronger than Papa's:-). Hope that you get the "number" skills from Papa, and not mummy:-)

If you are a boy, I want you to grow into a man who is desired by all the women in the world:-)..he he he. If you are a girl, I want all the guys to vie for your attention, but you should have the power to spurn them all with impunity:-)....

I am waiting for your arrival with a mixture of emotions: happiness, nervous anxiety, etc etc....

I have only one word for you right now: Umma:-)
